We will focus our 7th european meeting around several main topic to tackle our community and partners challenges
RESILIENT MOBILITY
Two or three or four wheels – don’t mind as long as it has pedals… Erlangen was (and is) a cycling stronghold in Germany. High-performance bicycles are manufactured in the region. And in ZAM there are many who are passionate about cycling. You too? But it is not only (cargo) bikes that embody resilient mobility. Focus on new, lighter, simpler and cheaper transport solutions in Europe.
FINANCING & FUNDRAISING
Financing & fundraising for our spaces and institutions: We may not want to be commercial – but we need to finance ourselves. What is best practice in the area of financing and fundraising for makerspaces?
BILATERAL COOPERATION
France and Germany increase their cooperation for decades. The maker movement is well distributed over both countries and more and more are mature enough to scall up their partnership from Local to international level. We’ll introduce several German-French initiative and their partners ! #StrongerTohether
WE AND OUR CITY
We and our city: a makerspace is not an island but creates wealth from what is around: the people, the ecosystem, financial, institutional, infrastructural resources of the city. Let’s shape a better understanding of each other.
ON AI-BEACH
All telescopes on the rapidly approaching horizon of Artificial Intelligence (AI): Can we ride the wave in such a way that it helps our organizations and processes – and frees up our hands for more important things? What influence does AI have on how we write, draw, design, explain, learn or speak? Bring your models, show your best « prompts ».
INCUBATING & START'UP
How to rise and shine (or not); a start up experience corner; whether start-ups are our clients, friends, or we are part of a start-up ourselves:
ART & PLAY
The most valuable treasures are to be found at the boundaries of disciplines, and all disciplines have an interface with art. Let us examine art and play as a motor for technical, scientific and human development
AND YOU ?
Do you have something else you would like to discuss over these days in Erlangen ?
Proto-program
1 event - 1 place - 2 programs
From November 20th to 24th, a seminar will take place in Erlangen, Germany. As previous Vulca seminars, this event is jointly organized by Vulca, a local makerspace and a national network called VOW. The program will be divided into two parts: some activities will be held together, while others will run in parallel, with separate sessions for Vulca and VOW. This seminar provides a unique opportunity for collaboration and exchange between the differents organizations, while allowing participants to focus on topics relevant to each group. In September, we will provide more detailed information about the program.
